Adoption Fees

Humanimal Connection charges an adoption fee to cover the costs incurred for the kitten/cat you will be adopting. This adoption fee covers more than most rescue groups and at a greater discount than you could receive as an individual pet owner. We receive discounts because we are a non-profit organization that has teamed up with local vets to keep costs down for our adopting families.  Fill in our adoption application and return it to us by email today and info@humanimalconnection.com

Additionally...

Adopting a cat or kitten for "free" from a neighbor or friend is bringing a kitten into your home when you are not sure that this kitten is entirely healthy.  Your family and children, who quickly emotionally attach, are unprotected from the devastation in the risk of losing the kitten or accumulating great medical expenses if the kitten is severely ill. Humanimal Connection tests for FIV and Feline Leukemia to ensure the kitten you are bringing into your home is both healthy and happy. Please, think twice before bringing a "free" kitten into your home!

Barn Cats, Mousers, & Yard Cats!

To control your rodent problem in a safe and non-toxic way, Humanimal Connection suggests using BARN CATS! Barn Cats utilize their natural hunter instincts to eliminate rodent populations in your barn or yard. By using Barn Cats you can avoid using toxic and potentially harmful poisons. Please read on to see how you can add a Barn Cat to your property today!

What Are Barn Cats?

Barn Cats are healthy, spayed/neutered cats in desperate need of new outdoor homes! These cats are semi-feral (semi-wild) and need to live at a farm, horse stable, warehouse, or other suitable outdoor location.

Humanimal Connection has provided veterinarian care (sterilization, vaccinations, and exams, etc.)

How Much Does a Barn Cat Cost?

Humanimal Connection asks for a $25.00 donation when adopting a Barn Cat. This donation helps us rescue other semi-feral cats that would have otherwise been euthanized and offer them another chance at life!

What do I Need to do?

Humanimal Connection will work with you to acclimate your new Barn Cat to your property. Your responsibility will be to provide daily food and water, protection from the elements, and long-term vet care. After a short period of secure confinement, the cats will accept their new home.
They will help keep rodents away from grain and food storage areas, and you'll enjoy watching the cats as well as have the satisfaction of giving them a much-needed home! If you own or manage property and have permission for long-term placement of animals on the property, please contact us! We will assist you while the cats settle into their new home.
